A wonderful collection of four vintage and antique books including with some classic titles in a range of light to medium red tones, sold for display and decoration. All have wonderful gilt lettering on spine. Publication dates range from circa 1900 to 1942. Chosen for the way they look together, these are also wonderful books to read and treasure!! An instant vintage book collection!

Notable flaws are described below.

A lovely grouping of old books which have a beautiful warm glow of time and age and look gorgeous on a shelf or table.

1) Departmental Ditties by Rudyard Kipling. Doubleday Doran, NY 1934. Gilding is bright. A clean unmarked and attractive copy.

2) The Odes of Quintas Horatius Flaccus, translated into English Verse in Horatian Meters by Justin Loomis Van Gundy, PhD. The Menonnite Press, PA, 1936.

Condition: Cloth covers have some discoloring and some abrasion and slight bending to edges. Corners are bumped. Two previous owner's names appear on first free endpaper.

3) The God Within Him by Robert Hitchens. Methuen, London, 1926.
Condition: Gilding on spine has some wear. First free endpaper has been removed. Interior is clean and unmarked.

4) The Last Word by Alice MacGowan. L.C. Page and Co., Boston, 1903.

Condition: Cloth covers have some darkening, spotting and wear, especially at corners. Outer corners are bumped. Original owner's stamp on front free endpaper.
