This listing is for a bisque face spun Heubach style ornament. It depicts a rosy cheek'd boy atop a large snowball. He is ready to have snowball fight!

I have used antique components almost exclusively to create this unique one of a kind piece.

Made with an antique doll head from Germany. This delicate painted bisque face was dug from the ground after being buried for many decades.

His snow suit is fashioned from salvaged antique cotton quilt batting. I've hand dyed the blue and red to reproduce the traditional colors for these ornaments.

The scarf is wool felt that I've over dyed to darken the color. Holly trim is a reproduction but typical embellishment for these ornaments.

About 4 1/4" high, signed and dated. The head has a copper loop for string hanger.

You may find it interesting to know that even simple versions of the antique Heubach ornaments are in the $350. range.

I have a limited number of the little heads with which to work and when they are gone production will end. Each face is unique as is each completed ornament.
