A vintage French hand crocheted quilt or duvet cover. The huge natural beige colored crochet panel is attached to a rose pink colored lining which can be sewn closed over a quilt. The lady I bought it from estimates it was worked in the 1920s or 1930s. It is so stunning, the photos do not do it justice.

What an amazing addition to a French inspired home decor scheme, lovely in a rustic cottage or farmhouse interior. I would so love to keep this one!!

It is in lovely condition, there are one or two broken threads but in my opinion this does not detract from the beauty of this item.

The last photo shows it laid over my king size bed. It measures 84.5 inches (215 cm) wide excluding the scallop edging trim (shown in photo 3). It is 88.5 inches (225cm) long

Because of the weight of this item (nearly 3.5 kilos) it has to be shipped via colissimo. Smaller, light items will probably ship free with this item.

Frequently asked questions about Histoires

I am open to a layaway plan for more expensive items with a combined value of over $100 (including shipping). This way you can split your payments over a period of time between 1 and 3 months. We will agree the payments at the beginning and then your first payment reserves your item.

Please note that after you begin your payments I am unable to refund you or cancel the transaction as the item is reserved for you and unavailable for sale to anyone else. The item will stay on reserve until you finish your final payment.
I will consider offers on single or multiple purchases on any of my items. It's always worth asking me!

Don't forget that combining shipping on multiple purchases delivered to the same address can give significant savings.
The quickest and most reliable shipping I offer is using the Colissimo service. Shipping times with Colissimo are 5 - 8 working days from dispatch to delivery. If you want to add this service to your order please purchase the Colissimo upgrade.

If you want a quotation for a quicker service please contact me before your purchase as these services are very expensive.
Please always contact me via Etsy conversations, this way I can link your message easily to your order.

Once you have ordered, please continue to check your Etsy conversations, just in case I need any further information (such as a contact phone number) in order to ship your item.
I will combine shipping on multiple purchases wherever possible.

I can combine shipping with items in my vintage sewing supplies shop, Couturesse.

Please contact me if you want to purchase from both shops and I will set up a custom listing.

If you want an exact price for shipping on your order please contact me before you buy so that I can set up a custom listing for all the items you want with the correct shipping charge.

Please note that it is not always possible to combine shipping on large / heavy / fragile items as the economical La Poste service has an upper limit of 2kg. It may actually be cheaper to send 2 or more separate parcels if the items are very heavy.
Yes! I am happy to reserve items for up to a maximum of 1 month. If you would like to reserve an item I will ask you to pay 10% deposit.
I can accept payment by cheque or directly to my bank in euros. Please contact me prior to purchasing for details.
