This unique antique farm tool comes with a unique history. Hog scrapers were used to scrape the hair off a pig hide. This particular one was owned by Edna Daniels. Her father, Jack Daniels (no joke), had 3 daughters and no sons. Work still had to be done on the farm so each girl had her own hog scraper, and Edna's initials are carved in the handle so she knew which one was hers ("E.C."). This piece dates back to the late 1800s and is out of Jonesville, MI. It has a perfect patina from years of use.
