This is a wonderful LARGE hammered aluminum ice bucket with lid made in England in the 1950's/1960's. Thickly insulated, the bucket's pattern is similar to a wine barrel with its wide bands and "rivets". The bucket has 1 inch (2.54 cm) thick walls to help keep your beverages cold, a black plastic knob handle on the lid and 2 black plastic handles on the sides.

The bucket measures 10 inches (25.40 cm) tall (with the lid it's 12 1/2 inches (31.75 cm) tall) by 12 1/2 inches (31.75 cm) in diameter at its widest, including the side handles. Its mouth has a diameter of 8 7/8 inches (22.54 cm) at its opening. On the bottom is written "Made by N.C.J. Ltd. at the Aluminium Works, Stratford-On-Avon, England" around an emblem reading "Regd. S on A Ware". There are scuffs and scratches present which are to be expected from it's lifetime of industrious work, but none detract from its appeal.
