An antique men's bow tie from La Cour Batave in Paris.

La Cour Batave in Paris was one of the first 'department' stores build around 1795 and they started by selling lingerie and fabrics. At the end of the 1880's they also started selling men's accessories.
This antique bow tie has a big history. To imagine where it has been, who has worn it, what diner's and parties the former owner has been to... Such different world...

The bow tie is in good condition and the fabric is clean. The label has probably come loose because the former owner fixed it again with some quick stitches. There are two small holes/imperfections on the inside.
I have no knowledge on how to tie a bow tie (as the photo shows), so please forgive me for leaving it loose.

I will ship the bow tie safely in a bubble mailer.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to write me, I will gladly reply.

Merci for stopping by,
Marion

*** I try to calculate the shipping costs as well as possible but by purchasing two or more items, they might become higher than the real costs. I always refund the amount payed too much when it passes 1 USD ***
