Nothing says "road trip" like poring over a highway map, planning out stops and circling attractions along the route. These days, a lot of us do our planning with Google instead of those old paper maps, which means lots of abandoned, outdated atlases. Poor atlases.

I made this double-sided garland with pieces punched from an out-of-date North American road atlas. Every strand is unique and colors will vary, but yours will be similar to the ones shown. Garlands are fun, year-round decor for over windows, chalkboards, or mantels…or even just strung on an empty wall.

* 10 feet decorated length
* Each scallop measures 1.5" across
* Strung on red and white cotton baker's twine
* Extra string and loop on each end for hanging
* Comes wrapped on a library catalog card

This garland should be displayed inside or outdoors on a dry day. Paper and water don't get along. Also, though this garland makes great nursery decor, please display it out of reach of small children.

I package my garland in a library pocket with information about the atlas used. All garlands are shipped via USPS within 3-5 days.

If you need a particular length, different string color options, or more strands than I have listed, let me know. There's a lot I can do to make this decoration just right for you, so please don't hesitate to convo me using the "Contact" link on the right.

I rely on the serendipity of thrift stores and garage sales for most of my maps. When I'm looking for a specific map, I purchase the lowest condition copy available from a dealer. I never use new or collectible-quality materials in my map banners or garland.
