This wonderful English transferware pitcher in the Japanese pattern dates to the late 1800s. It is an excellent example of Aesthetic Movement transferware when transfer designs were Asian-influenced. The colors are brown on cream.

This pitcher has an unusual and very pleasing shape with simple, clean lines. Measurements are 6 inches high, 4 inches in diameter at the top, and 5.25 inches in diameter at its largest point (not including the handle).

Excellent, clean condition with no chips or cracks. There are signs of age in the form of tiny brown dots scattered about but this only adds character to this lovely old transferware pitcher.

A beautiful piece for display and use as pitcher or charming vase.
