Once, long ago, pigs could indeed fly. However, these ancient avian piggies were prideful in their giant, lush feathery wings and turned up their snouts at the many land-locked animals they soared above. To be taught humility, their gods removed their wings and cursed them to walk the ground. Since then, enterprising pigs have sought to regain the skies--not to be smug once more, but simply to enjoy the wind through their ears. We celebrate these porcine engineers and their dedication to invention--in this case, a colorful biplane.
This original Flying Pig in a Biplane pattern is 10 pages long and includes details on colors and stitches used in the example embroidery. It also has two views of the pattern itself: the original direction and a reversed direction, making it easy to choose which way you want the design to be oriented regardless of which transfer method you prefer. Also included are instructions on all of the stitches used in the sample. Straight off the printer, the full design measures about 6” long x 4" tall, but it can easily be scaled up or down with your computer or copier.
The pattern is in PDF format and thanks to Etsy's new digital upload program, you should be able to download it immediately upon payment. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to use this file. It can be downloaded for free at http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/
