A wonderful collection of four antique books including some classic titles in red, a vairety of greens and gold accents and gilding, sold for display and decoration. All have wonderful gilt lettering on spine. Publication dates range from circa 1894 to 1926. Chosen for the way they look together, these are also wonderful books to read and treasure!!

An instant vintage book collection!

They have minor flaws which are described below.

A lovely grouping of old books which have a beautiful warm glow of time and age and look gorgeous on a shelf or table.

1) The Complete Works of Willaim Makepeace Thackeray, Illustrated. Vol.1. Contributions to Punch, Etc. Harper & Bros, NY, 1904,

Condition: Cloth covers have spotting. There is edgewear and fraying, especially at spine extremities; corners are bumped. Binding is whole and solid. A well-used but attractive copy.

2) Philip and His Wife by Margaret Deland. The Regent Press, NY, 1894.
Condition: A clean copy with minimal wear.

3) The Crossing by Winston Churchill, Grosset & Dunlap Co., London, 1908.

Condition: Cloth covers have some slight weathering and some wear at spine edges and extremities. Binding is whole though there is a tiny tear to rear hinge. Original owner's name is written in india ink on front endpaper. Interior is clean and unmarked.

4) The Crock of Gold by James Stephens, Macmillan, NY, 1926.

Condition: Original owner's name in pen on front free endpaper. Otherwise bright and crisp. a lovely book!
