Made with a mix of domestic & exotic hardwoods, Amboyna Burl - Gabon Ebony, & Black Walnut, three very beautiful, dense & durable exotic & domestic hardwoods. No stock photos here...the pick shown is the actual pick you will receive.
This custom handcrafted guitar pick was meticulously crafted with the aforementioned hardwoods, it features laminated strips of amboyna burl & very thin strips of black walnut in between two pieces of deep black Gabon ebony for a simple yet sleek & custom look, it also features concave rough sanded thumb grooves on each side to provide a superior grip that enables the guitarist to really explore new highs in guitar playing. This pick measures approx. 1-1/4” or 32 mm long X 1-1/16" or 27 mm wide, it is about 3 mm thick at the thickest part of the pick, but feels & plays thinner due to the thumb grooves on each side, the pick tapers down to a thickness of about 1 mm at the tip, & was designed with the guitarist in mind for comfort & playability, this pick is treated with a special oil blend, for lasting protection I let the pick soak in the oil to ensure that the pick is deeply penetrated, I then apply a natural bees wax paste & hand rub the pick for a smooth & silky finish, & if you perspire or moisten your finger tips, it will actually improve your grip. It may take a while to get used to playing with a wooden pick, but every guitar player that I know, simply can't live without their hardwood guitar picks. So why not take your playing to new extremes with the true tones that my handmade Artisan wood picks employ. They also make excellent gifts! Thanks for looking!
