This wooden spatula spoon is the perfect tool for mixing up a batch of fresh Guacamole. Free shipping till the end of July. The thin front edge is great for chopping up the Avocado. Now don't worry, I used my own version of this tool to mix the Guacamole in this photo. The one in the picture is still new and unused. It is 12 inches long with a slightly curved 2 1/2 inch wide bowl. The bowl is curved along its length which makes it very efficient for scraping the bottom and sides of the mixing bowl. Use it for stir frying and sauteing as well as mixing. Tapers to a thin edge along the straight front edge. Ambrosia Maple is the industry name for Red Maple that has been scarred by the Ambrosia Maple moth larvae. They drill little holes and this causes the wood to become discolored. It is difficult to tell how deep the streaks of color go so you never know what pattern you're going to end up with. I think this one came out about perfect. Finished with beeswax and Mineral oil.

Here is my recipe for Guacamole in case you want to make some:

Care is easy, just wash in hot soapy water, towel dry, and apply some mineral oil or walnut oil every couple of weeks or you can buy some of our spoon oil finish which is Beeswax and mineral oil. A 4 oz. jar lasts for a long time and it will help to keep your spatula looking and feeling good for many years..
