This square-headed, big-eyed owl was made in Mexico in the early 1960's. It's hand-made and hand-painted. Could be made out of clay or possibly terracotta.

On its sides, there is an olive branch or perhaps a branch of grapes. Around his eyes are stripes radiating outwards.

It's such a distinctive piece, it has so much personality. It would look lovely on looking out from a mantle, or amongst the spices in a kitchen. Would look right at home in any ranch-style or mid-century house.

About 4 inches wide x 5.5 inches tall.
