This is a set of 5 wooden pegs that the glass insulators screw on to.

They are from old telegraph poles that used to run along the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad tracks in central Colorado.

The pegs or posts are the kind that stuck out of the cross arms on the telegraph pole.

They are in very good used condition. May have some minor cracks, chips, imperfections. Some threads may have some chips but work just fine to screw a glass insulator on to it. Some may have creosote and dirt on them. I took them off the cross bars and have done nothing to them. They show some wear, after all, they spent over 100 years in the elements!

The pegs are 8" long, 1 1/8" diameter at the bottom, top (screw on part) is about 7/8".

The pegs you get will look similar to the pegs in the picture.

This is a neat piece of historic memorabilia.

If you need more than one set of these, contact me. I do have more pegs, all from the same area, however, my supply is limited.
