RESERVED FOR S // Please do not buy, unless you are S: Mid-Century Norwegian silversmith Albert Scharning of Oslo designed this beautiful rich red guilloché enamel pin. It features an abstract "draped" enamel design with bold lines and scalloped edges in a contrasting gilded sterling setting. The winged arrangement is bisected by an ovoid ring. Very striking and well-crafted.

It has a simple c-catch and is marked “A.Sch.” (Albert Scharning) in script and “925S” which is the silver standard for Norway. A. Scharning was well-regarded for its exquisite enameled jewelry. It is in very good vintage condition without any enamel issues. The c-catch is a bit distorted (flattened), but the pinstem (bent) works fine, and holds securely. The gilding is in fine condition, with minor tarnishing which I would leave alone so as to preserve the gold. This is a handsome example of Scandinavian Modernist understatement.

SIZE: 1-7/8”H x 1”W
