This brick red and white wide mouth soup mug doubles as a soup bowl with a handle. It is perfect for chili, soup, stews - just about anything too soupy for a plate that you want to dish out hot or heat in the microwave. It can also be used for lattes, hot cocoa or even coffee!

This hand thrown stoneware soup mug is decorated by overlapping a creamy white glaze over over an earthy red glaze creating lots of interest where the glazes intersect as a golden tan. This soup mug is high fired to approx. 2300° F. The comfortable handle is hand pulled and has the added advantage of not getting hot when heating your beverage in the microwave.

Approx. 3" (7.6 cm) in height, 5" (12.7 cm) in diameter, 6.5" (16.5 cm) wide including the handle. Easily holds 16 ounces (500 ml).

This is a listing for one soup mug.

This mug was handmade on a potter's wheel out of stoneware and fired to over 2300 degrees F. They can be used in the microwave and put in the dishwasher.
