I made this great summer bracelet with a lovely pieces of seafoam green sea glass.

The length of the bracelet including the clasp is about 8" however the chain link is large enough for the clasp to fit through the links, therefore it is adjustable. The piece of sea glass is about
1 1/2" long and 1/2" wide

Sea Glass takes at least 40-60 years to form naturally tumbling in the ocean. Most glass found in the USA dates from the 1800's to the 1960's. It starts as wine bottles, dishware, art glass, windows, canning jars, ink bottles etc that end up in the ocean. The glass breaks up and becomes soft as the tide and waves move the pieces around the ocean floor. From a colonial era onion bottle to a 1930's coke bottle, there is a little bit of history infused in each piece.

Light green often comes from old Coca Cola bottles or canning jars and typically date from the 1890's to 1920's.

I collect all my sea glass by hand and it is all in the shape that I find it on the beach. None of it is machine tumbled or shaped.
