Vintage Yellow Ware / Yellowware blue banded shoulder bowl mixing bowl ~ beautiful1930's pottery for your farmhouse chic kitchen or favorite chef. Classic yellow ware clay color with blue bands.

9.5" diameter x 5.5" tall. Smooth, solid, antique utilitarian yellow ware was bowl called a "shoulder bowl" because of the way they were held while mixing. Holds 1 gallon and used for mixing heavy batters.

Marked 424 9 U.S.A. on bottom.

Depression-era or older - from an Iowa farm, in great overall condition, glaze still shiny. Two hairline cracks as shown and some imperfections in the pottery pre-glaze doesn't affect its ability to hold mixing batter, balls of yarn, popcorn or display on your kitchen shelf.

A piece of antique Americana for your country or farmhouse kitchen.
