"So Misunderstood", a breathtaking work of art, this Medusa pendant is brass and stamped from vintage tooling made many, many years ago. With such detail of her shell crown, and coils of snakes which frame her face, she is of such beauty, much like the stories of ancient Greek times, that Medusa captivated others with her beauty to such a degree that they turned to stone. Unlike the many movies depicting her as an ugly, vengeful woman out to destroy any who venture near, Medusa is more a symbol of protection, and the magnificent strength which women possess.

I've treated the piece with heat, and after several applications, and buffing, the metal has taken on a warm glow. The pendant has been left unsealed so as to further patina with age over time. The sizeable Medusa measures 2 1/4" in length x 1 1/2" in width. It is suspended from an antique brass bail, on a vintage raw brass chain of 22" which is joined by a lobster clasp.
