Be more you. Customize your clothes & other items to make them more unique to you.
Extend the life and interest of products. Maybe you don't want a new shirt, maybe you just need a new detail to bring it out of the back of your closet and into 'the rotation' again.
Make a small dent in re-using fabrics and keeping them out of landfills.
This item has a small 'pouch' that can be used to hold a few small items like some cash, keys, some gum, or you can clip on a pen or pencil to it. Please see pictures to get a sense of what size items it will accommodate.
1. Make sure that whatever you are applying this item to has been PRE-WASHED & DRIED without any fabric softeners. All the fabrics I'm using have been washed, dried, and pre-shrunk, so if it is applied to something that hasn't already been shrunk it could create a problem.

3. This is suggested by the maker of the adhesive: After applying the item, tumble dry on low for 15 minutes, then rub the front and back of item with firm pressure. Personal Note: Many times I just want to wear the shirt right away and haven't done this step. I haven't had any problems, but if you have access to a dryer you might as well give it a go!
Q: Is the item permanent or can it be removed and re-used?
A: It is permanent. I am working on another item that might make the add-on items interchangeable, but this one is not.
Q: Can this be washed and dried?
A: Definitely. The adhesive used is a washable double-sided pressure sensitive adhesive specifically designed for fabric. No sewing or iron pressing necessary. Simply press-on and go! Machine washable and dryable, do not dry clean. Safe and non-toxic. Before applying, always PRE-WASH all material without using fabric softeners (in washer or dryer).
I have always enjoyed taking products and trying to extend the life of them, as well as my own interest in them, by modifying or turning them into something else. Considering this shocking stat: (The EPA estimates that the average person throws away 70 lbs of clothing per year. That adds up to 3.8 billion pounds of unnecessary waste added to our landfills. http://www.smartasn.org/consumers/index.cfm) I thought clothing would be an interesting area to experiment with. I have been modifying my own clothes, furniture, and just about everything else for as long as I can remember, so I thought I'd try to create some products that might make it easy for others to do the same.
These items use a mix of fabrics. Some are from clothes that aren't being used, (everything is washed and cleaned) and some are fabrics I've purchased. In the future I will also be looking at using donated clothes that would otherwise be heading to a landfill, creating my own fabric designs, and partnering with existing companies and using their 'scraps' from the process of creating their clothes, curtains, sheets, etc.
