This unique one of a kind fine art print celebrates the action of a reed bed regenerating a park affected by a polluted stream. The stream passes through an old landfill site picking up rust and heavy metals. The print was created using reeds from the actual reed bed using oil based ink and rusty soil from the spring before it is cleansed by the reeds. It also shows part of a diagrammatic representation of the path the water takes from the polluted spring, through a settling pool, through the reed bad and then back into the stream perfectly clear. These details have been screenprinted. Since being a polluted site, this is now a haven for wild life and there are fresh water shrimps in the stream.

The print is on a soft piece of Hannemuhle etching paper and attached to a piece of tinted Fabriano Artistico paper for ease of framing.

Size of printing paper = 33cm x 13cm (13 inches x 5 1/8 inches)
Size of backing paper = 39.8cm x 19.3cm (15 5/8 inches x 7 5/8 inches)

The work is signed in pencil on the backing paper.

This is a mono print with screen printed details. To see more prints using similar techniques see shop section http://www.etsy.com/shop/LynnBaileyPrintmaker?section_id=10273002

This artwork was conceived and created solely as an original fine art print. Unlike a gicleé print or any other computer print out, none of my prints are reproductions of a pre-existing painting or drawing.

I like to use top quality heavy weight paper this one is Hannemuhle soft white etching, 300gm/140lbs and the backing paper is Fabriano Artistico, 300gm/140lbs so It is best not to roll up prints for posting, especially when the printing process results in a fair amount of embossing. I will therefore only ship my prints flat and protected with card.
