Offered is a sweet little incense burner, vintage 1920s to 30s. It is cast iron, with remnants of bronze powder paint still remaining on the bottom. The burner is art deco in design, a round bowl with a ribbed design, and three legs flaring out from leaves. The leaves are decorated with veining. The top has elongated, open teardrop shapes, with a scalloped shape in between. The top handle is a squared, flared design. The piece is signed on the bottom with the familiar "Vantine's" name. It does not indicate that the piece was made in France, however.

The incense burner stands 3 1/8" tall, and is 3 3/8" wide.

The burner is in very good condition, with no sign of damage. The bronze powder paint remaining is faint, but gives one an idea of how beautiful it was originally. It is a handsome piece, even without the powder paint, and it now has a wonderful, aged patina.

This is really a beautiful burner.
