This is a unique one-of-a-kind creation, made from several different yarns, mostly in abundant shades of the harvest. There are tiny bits of color in there for interest - you will notice them if you look very closely! (Tomato, Avocado, Eggplant, Corn, Spinach, Raspberry...) Think organics and you'll get the gist! A couple of the fibers used have a little metallic to them - not enough to be glitzy, but it will catch the eye! I love making these "amalgamation" scarves - they are never repeated - and always beautiful. The fibers I have chosen for this scarf predominantly came from the Etsy shop Recycleand Repurpose. Jean rescues yarns and mill ends; then combines them into new creations that you won't find anywhere else. I love Jean's shop - and check on it nearly every day, so I won't miss out on anything!

Back to this boutique-style scarf... I crocheted it with a larger crochet hook, so the stitches are looser than some. The scarf is lighter-weight, but certainly can be bundled up about the neck if you need the warmth. The color scheme is fabulous if you are an autumn-lover or if you are just (like me) anxious for cooler weather to arrive. In my mind, there is NOTHING richer than these shades. I have added my signature "Wild Thing" fringe, composed of several coordinating yarns. The scarf itself measures 70" long, plus the 7" fringe at each end, for a total length of 84". You can do a lot of wrapping with that much length! The width measures 5 1/2".

I recommend you hand wash this scarf in cold, wrap in a soft fluffy towel to absorb most of the moisture, and lay flat to dry.

I believe that everyone should be able to accessorize and wear gorgeous items every day, and that those items should be affordable. I love bright colors, but also draw my inspiration from the beauty of nature. All of my handmade freeform crochet scarves, hats, and accessories are my original designs, no pattern used - therefore, most often, they won't/can't be duplicated. Each one is lovingly and carefully created with quality yarns and attention to detail- I consider them fiber art.
