This quintessential Little Black Dress came from the closet of one of my favorite clothing sources, a woman named Betty who was a manager of a local department store. If you'd like to know more about her, please see my blog about her: http://denisebrain.blogspot.com/2011/02/shes-betty.html
As usual with Betty, her clothing has been very well kept, and it's stylish and of good quality. This dress is labeled Maggi - Maid of Lucerne. The dress is summery, made of substantial black cotton with an interesting woven-in squares pattern. The dress is a sheath in cut, with short kimono sleeves. Black rickrack trims the neckline and sleeve cuffs. The back has a keyhole opening from the neck to mid-back, and there are three small bows leading down to the waist. Long back covered metal zipper; back kick pleat. The dress is not lined.
Condition: Excellent; used but without any flaws that I could find. I do need to mention that the hem was raised (expertly by Betty) by 1".
Size: Small, about a US size 4
Top of shoulder to waist-14.75"
Waist to hem-24"
Please note: I measure the dimension of the item itself, and you will need to consider what size you would want the item to be to fit well on you.
