This is a really nice vintage wooden box from General Mills circa 1940. Originally, it held around 200 recipe/information cards that helped bakers use new and improved products to the best advantage. The General Mills Products Control department was organized to ensure product quality and uniformity.

Still in great shape with a good size to hold anything from the kitchen to the sewing room or the art table, it measures 5 ½” in height, by 6 ¾” wide and 6” deep. The wood is approximately ¼” thick.

Wood is cracked across the back and up the sides of the back piece, but it is not loose and does not deter the solidness of the box. Refer to pics. #4, #5. Decals are a little roughed up due to age and use.
