This is a Vietnam Era Zippo. The patent number on the bottom of the Zippo is from 1968 (see picture 4). It reads:

Bradford
III Zippo III

The front of this lighter reads "VIETNAM Saigon 69-70". There is a military emblem on the front as well. The back has been engraved with the inscription "If you can't eat it drunk it lite it chew it or dont buy it." The hinge is still very strong. The top flips opens nicely and closes tightly matching up perfectly to the bottom case. The lighter insert easily slides out of the case for refueling..

This lighter is in used condition. As you can see from the pictures it does is showing signs of its age. This lighter has scratches, scuffs, discoloring, and rust on the body of the outer case.

This lighter has a brand new flint, it sparks great, it just needs to be filled with fluid.

A wonderful addition to your collection or as a unique gift. This lighter can be used daily or as a display piece.
