7 1/2” tall x 7” wide

This saggar fired vase was hand thrown on the potter’s wheel. It was fired in a gas kiln and left to smolder, carbonize and fume for hours in a saggar (container) filled with organic materials, oxides, and metallic salts creating a beautiful array of colors on a smooth shiny surface. This particular vase has striking carbon blacks, silvers, smokey grey, white, soft peach, hint of maroon, and a tiny bit of light green in the marble pattern areas.

This piece is not intended for use with food. It will perspire if filled with water. I suggest slipping a thin glass into the vase for use with fresh flowers.
