I left the rim a bit wider when I made this one. Not by accident tho.

When the clay stiffens I use my logo stamp to put swirls in the rim in a repetitive patten.

While glazing purple glaze is rubbed in the crevices of the stamped shape. My runny fern glaze is used over the entire area. The glaze runs around the stamped area for a pattern that some have said is reminiscent of a peacock.

As an added bonus the bottom of the rim has bumps from the stamped area. This creates another interesting area in this bowl.

This piece is formed on the potters wheel using a quality porcelain clay.
