Cinderella. [Author Unknown.] Pictured by Gordon Robinson. A softcover "Linenette" book No. 427 published by Samuel Gabriel Sons & Company. No date given but circa 1930. Robinson's first illustrations for Cinderella were published in 1911.

Small quarto (8 1/2" x 7 1/4"). Coated cloth cover and contents, bound by two staples. Full color pictorial cover of a disconsolate Cinderella. 6 pages of text with small two-color illustrations and 4 full-page full-color paintings.

Good condition (light creasing throughout; mild cover soil; corner tips bent; one inch tear at bottom cover seam; slight rusting around staples). No marks or previous owner's names. Contents, though lightly creased and aged, are pristine and illustrations are especially vibrant. An interesting and scarce alternative to the Disney Cinderella. (Note Cinderella arriving at the ball in her vibrant red gown and fifteenth-century headdress, as seen in the third photo.)
