Queen of the Night is a very special type of Orchid Cactus. (Epiphyllum oxypetalum) Produces white fragrant circular-shaped flowers with narrow petals. Growth is flat and long with spineless branches. These become pendulous & drape, perfect for hanging pots. Flowers are large, white & smell so sweet! They like morning sun, light or filtered light, but dislike the hot afternoon sun.
CARE TIPS: Pot in a well draining potting soil mixture when you receive it, you can mist the dirt a bit if you want or no water should be fine if your soil is semi moist. This is an indoor or patio plant —doesn’t need direct sun, but does need adequate light to bloom. Drought tolerate, but does enjoy semi regular watering for optimal growth. Allow to dry completely between waterings..does not like to be in soaked soil for long. These will also need to be protected in winter months, either brought indoors or in a greenhouse.

I'm very happy with my newly acquired Queen of the Night plant cuttings. The order arrived in perfect condition and sooner than expected. This is my first Epiphyllum oxypetalum, can't wait to see it grow. I plant it in a mixture of soil, orchid bark, sand, pumice, some perlite, lava rocks and a bit of charcoal. I know it's a lot but I understand this plant needs very good drainage. Thanks Nikki.
