*** Because the post office in my village will be closed for a while, I decided to join our Annie and take a few days off myself. The shop will stay open but I won't be replying messages, nor updating the shop.
The first shipment will be on Thursday the 19th of July.
Thank you.

This vintage or antique apothecary bottle used to contain mineral oil or paraffin oil and has a very special stopple.

Searching for a time reference for this beautiful old bottle, made me write vintage or antique, because the marques to date this bottle, the bubbles in the glass, the bottom and the 'rings' in the glass, point to a broad time period. Bottles like these were made between 1900 and 1940.

The stopple of the bottle is a lovely little curiosity. You can take out the stop, as the second photo shows, to fill the bottle. Once needed, the pharmacist used the stopple to pour out small quantities.
The stop has a cork.

The bottle is in good condition. The glass has many tiny bubbles in it and some bigger bubbles.
The glass of the stop is thicker than the glass of the bottle, and has subtle lines in the glass.
A unique addition to a glass collection.

Including the stop, the bottle measures 27 cm's high and 10 cm's in diameter. In inches this will be 10.6" high and 3.9" in diameter.

The bottle will be carefully wrapped in bubble sheet and a carton box so it will reach you safely.
