"Hares' bold paws bounce.
They are bound by spring
to race round acres in a ring,
to box and feint and frighten horses,
to impress their cousins, trump their mates
with poetry performances"

Extract from 'Hares In Camp', by Sally Evans.

I adore hares ... I love nothing more than going out for a walk in the early morning or at dusk, just for the chance of a fleeting glimpse of these mystical creatures.

This painting is inspired by my favourite place and it's gorgeous inhabitants ... the Staffordshire Moorlands :)

This original silk painting is painted and iron fixed onto habotai silk.

The painting measures 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches and is fixed to a bespoke cut, textured cream mount board, cut to fit a 10 x 8 inch frame.

**My camera lens seems to want to distort the edges of the mount somewhat .. I can assure you that they are perfectly straight ;)**
