The result of the FHF monthly colour challenge: To use Iris Orange, aka Raku (or 'that glass which doesn't strike when it's meant to') to make beads. The idea behind striking glass is that you repeatedly heat and cool the bead to get the colours. I figured making disc beads would be great as you add a little glass, heat, cool and repeat to shape the discs. This is the result. 23 (wow 23!!) disc beads in shades of purple, green and lots of different hues of brown. These are beautiful beads.

The beads measure about 12mm by 5mm. 23 disc beads complete the set. The beads were made on 2.4mm mandrels so the holes are a little larger than that. As with all my beads they've been kiln annealled and cleaned so are ready for you to use as soon as you receive them.

Thank you for looking, please feel free to ask any questions.
