{rudbeckia}
Rudbeckia Hirta, Indian Summer
50+ seeds

{about}
Rudbeckia are native to North-America and are most common as Black Eyed Susans. These rudbeckia look similar to Black Eyed Susans, but with larger petals and flowers, hairier leaves and stems. Unlike black eyed susans these rudbeckia are not perennial but biennial. However, if seed heads are allowed to remain the flowers will reseed themselves and continue to grow year after year as long as the soil beneath them has not been too heavily mulched. Rudbeckia are perfect for bouquets, they are a long lasting cut flower and the more you cut the more will grow to replace them.
