Antique Edwardian locket with original chain. A large, round gold fill / gold plated locket, suspended from its original beaded chain with open lyre like connector. Face of the locket is framed in an ornate floral repousse border, with a liquid-looking concave center. Delicately etched with vertical stripes that waver, forming a woven chevron pattern. This is a collectible and rare Beatrice, made by R.B. MacDonald company, established in Attleboro Massachusetts in 1874. Stamped with the Patent date of Feb 1903. Locket closes with a tidy snap, and opens to two compartments for pictures, one with original frame and insert. Back of the locket is simple and smooth. Necklace closes with an old thumbless spring ring. In good condition with light wear to the gold plate. A lovely and unusual Edwardian locket necklace with its original chain.

Locket is 1 3/8 in diameter, hangs 2.5 inches below the chain. Chain is 19 inches long.
Locket is 35 mm in diameter, hangs 65 mm below the chain. Chain is about 48 cm long.
