This little Apple wood spoon is the perfect tool to stir a small pot of sauce or serve up some Mexican Natillas with cinnamon dressing. Free shipping till the end of July. It is 9.5 inches long and 1 7/8 inches wide with a very curvy and organic rimmed bowl and a curved handle. The piece of wood had a really interesting shape which was sort of twisted which I wanted to preserve. The wood is a mix of reddish brown heartwood and lighter sap wood. Apple wood is very hard with very fine grain. I got it from a tree that had died in the town of Center, Colorado. Finished with beeswax and mineral oil.

Ready to ship today by priority mail.

This utensil is "pre-washed" so to speak. The grain has been raised with water during the finishing process to remove any loose fiber ends so the spoon will remain smooth after you use it.

Care is easy, just wash in hot soapy water, towel dry, and apply some mineral oil or walnut oil every couple of weeks or you can buy some of our spoon oil finish which is Beeswax and mineral oil. A 4 oz. jar lasts for a long time and it will help to keep your spoon looking and feeling good for many years.
