Everyone knows about Margot van Voorhies Carr Castillo.

Beautiful American Divorcee artist comes to Mexico on holiday.
Falls in love with local man (who happens to work for Bill Spratling).
Gets married.
Starts fabulous Silver Jewelry Business together.
Falls out of Love.
Gets Divorced.
Starts business and becomes Margot de Taxco.
She's a success.
Her building burns.
She looses everything.
She rebuilds.
Union labor strikes, and closes her down.
Government steps in and takes over assets to pay workers.
The end.
She died penniless, taken in by her former sister in law, in Taxco.

Tragic roller-coaster story, but fortunately she left behind a legacy of beautiful things for us to enjoy.

Here a a wonderful Bracelet, a creation from Margot.
Inside is marked "Margot de Taxco" and the design number of #5724.
Wearable length: 5.5". Will fit a small to medium wrist (Please measure so you won't be disappointed).
Width: 1.78"
Copper with enamel.
I would guess this is circa 1950 or so. Since it is copper, the Eagle Silver Standard Mark was not used.

Obviously from the price you can determine that this has some condition issues. If perfect, this would sell in the $800-$1100 range. I am offering this for a fair price, as it still has beauty and is truly a very hard to find item, with or without damage.

**If you think it is worth less, please feel free to make us a reasonable offer.

Is it still wearable as is? YES!! You bet, and you don't have to worry about damage while wearing it, as it's already happened.
Clasp is in good working order.

Please look at photos closely, and you will see that time (and maybe a few tumbles to the floor) has caused some enamel loss and wear.
