Tired of hard pats of butter that turn your toast into crumbs? Here's your answer: store and serve butter in a ceramic butter crock dish and it'll be soft and ready to use at any time.

Simply pack the butter into the small bowl, then put water with a pinch of salt in the larger bowl, and finally place the small bowl as a lid over the container with the water.

Now you can keep your butter out on your kitchen table or countertop, no need to refrigerate. The water acts as a seal to keep your butter fresh and soft (please remember to change the water every couple of days).

If you prefer to keep your butter in the refrigerator, this piece will also do the trick. Pack the butter in the small bowl as above. Then use the large bowl as a lid (see last picture).

This piece comes with a butter knife for serving. The crock is 3 1/4 inches tall. The butter bowl is a little over 2 inches deep and 3 1/2 inches in diameter, and holds one stick of butter. The larger bowl is 2 3.4 inches deep and 4 inches in diameter.
