Original, beautifully detailed two-sided antique engraving of cattle breeds.

The engraving shows: 1. Shorthorn breed of cattle, 2. Scottish hornless cattle, 3. Podolian cattle, 4. Bernese cattle.

The reverse side of the print shows: 1. and 2. Head of the Algovian cow, 3-4. Head of the Holstein cattle, 5. Braunvieh cattle (Schwyzer Rasse), 6. Holstein cattle.

The size of the print: 9,6" x 6,3" (24,5 x 16 cm) including its border.
Printed in 1896, Bibliographisches Institut Leipzig Germany, as an illustration for "Brockhaus' Konversations Lexikon".

The print is in good condition and the paper shows its age with creamy patina, perfect for framing.

Concerning the age of the paper - cca. 115 years - some spots can be occured on the margin and the reverse side, but these do not effect the quality of the print itself as it can be seen on the scan.

Please note, that by antique prints due to their age some imperfections are to be expected.
