One of our Original "little" stone cottages, handmade at our little shop in Mentor, Ohio by Julie and Adam. These stone homes are great for fairy gardens, miniature gardening, as a focal point in a garden or landscape, or as a home d├ęcor item on a fireplace or table in your home.

Our stone formula is a little white barn original recipe and includes 14 ingredients designed to withstand the harshest weather conditions. We hand work the stone into the shape of our little buildings, we cure the stone for 5 weeks, and then we hand chisel all of the openings and finish each one by hand. The stone looks like authentic old-world stone from Europe and gets better as it ages. Many mosses like to make the stone their home and as the little homes age they truly look like old world buildings.

Each is unique and includes hand forged wrought iron hardware and accents, the doors are handmade in our shop as are most of the accent pieces.

Handling and Care Instructions

Mist stone with water once a week for first couple months, if not exposed to rain.

Stone is weather resistant. It is designed to stay outside all year round; however, nothing is "weatherproof". If Mother Nature gets angry, there's no telling what might happen. You may want to consider bringing your garden art inside during extreme weather conditions.

Caution: when moving and handling your house. Handle and lift from bottom only.

Growing Moss on your little house...

There are dozens of recipes, but we like this one. First find some moss in your yard, commonly found on a shady sidewalk or other shady spot. Note: If you don't have moss growing in yard now, it may be difficult to grow it on your garden art.

In a blender add a good handful of the moss gathered and a small container of yogurt or buttermilk, then mix until the moss is smoothly distributed. Use a brush to paint your stone and roof if desired. Keep your house in a shady location and mist it daily until the moss begins to grow.
