Made of African Bubinga - Texas Ebony and Caribbean Rosewood , three very beautiful, dense & durable exotic hardwoods. No stock photos here...the pick shown is the actual pick you will receive. This custom handcrafted guitar pick was meticulously crafted with the 3 aforementioned exotic woods, it features laminated strips of African Bubinga & Texas Ebony in between two pieces of Caribbean Rosewood for a simple yet sleek & custom look. Concave rough sanded thumb grooves on each side provide a superior grip that enables the guitarist to really explore new highs in guitar playing. This pick measures approx. 1-1/4” or 31 mm long X just over 1" or 26 mm wide, it is about 2.5 mm thick at the thickest part of the pick, but feels & plays thinner due to the thumb grooves, it tapers down to a thickness of about 1 mm at the tip,& was designed with the guitarist in mind for comfort & playability, this pick is treated with a special oil blend, for lasting protection I let the pick soak in the oil to ensure that the pick is deeply penetrated, I then apply a natural bees wax paste & hand rub the pick for a smooth & silky finish, & if you perspire or moisten your finger tips, it will actually improve your grip. It may take a while to get used to playing with a wooden pick, but every guitar player that I know, simply can't live without their hardwood guitar picks. Take your guitar playing to new extremes, with the true tones that my handmade Artisan wood picks employ. They also make excellent gifts! Thanks for looking!

BUBINGA - Guibourtia Demeusei
The tree is native to Cameroon and Gabon, West, & Central Africa.
A truly gorgeous exotic African hardwood that is also known by many as African Rosewood. The heartwood is pink, vivid red, or red brown with purple streaks or veins, on exposure becomes yellow or medium brown with a reddish tint, veining becomes less conspicuous. The sapwood is whitish and distinct. Fine grained, very hard and heavy, with a tight grain and a fine texture. It weighs much more than hard Maple or Teak. The density of the wood is very high, takes a high lustrous finish.

TEXAS EBONY - Pithecellobium Flexicaule
The tree is native to Texas, & parts of Northern Mexico.
A rare and exotic, elegantly-grained Texas/Mexican wood. Texas Ebony is particularly well suited for turning. The grain of even an ordinary piece of wood is beautiful. The sapwood is a beautiful light yellow color, very dense, the heartwood is very dark brown, many times even coal black, A truly gorgeous exotic wood.

CARIBBEAN ROSEWOOD (CHECHEN)- Metopium, Browneii
Tree is Native to Belize / Mexico.
Caribbean Rosewood is one of the world’s most beautiful woods with a rosewood look that offers unique coloration and graining. Provides an extreme range of color variability, this wood ranges from cream colored, flame type swirls, on through to gold/orange highlights on top of a medium brown background with black striping.
