Handcrafted white stoneware (Danish porcelain) serving bowl in colors recalling the Southwest. Made on the potter's wheel, thrown and altered serving bowl with handles. High fired to 2350 degrees f. in a soda kiln. Bowl is flashed in the soda vapors to a toasty, almost coppery color and decorated around the rim with mind green, charcoal, and soft off white. Glazes are over a swirl of white slip.

These altered plates are fun to make, and I think they will look good on the dinner table. The soda surfaces are getting to be exactly what I am hunting for, and I look forward to making many more.

Approx. 11" x 10.5" x 4"

Food, microwave, and dishwasher safe
