Mickey Mouse Library of Games Playing Cards 1946-1948

“The Mickey Mouse Library of Games” is a set of 6 card games that was produced by the Russell Mfg. Co between 1946 - 1948. The individual boxes are approximately 2 5/8" x 1 3/4" x 7/8". The case is 5 3/4" long. Inside each box of cards is a set of instructions on how to play each individual game. On the bottom of the instruction sheet it reads "1946 Russell Mfg. Co." On the side of each box of cards it says "Made in U.S.A., Russell Mfg. Company, Leicester, Mass." 

There is a missing card in the Bambi and Donald Duck card game. There is also wear on the box set and some cards with bent corners and a few with creases in the center. Please see the photographs and listing for more detailed information on the condition.

Donald Duck (Volume 1) has 47 cards with instructions. This lists the number of cards of each; (6) cards number 1 with Donald Duck’s picture, (10) cards number 2 with “Mickey and Minnie Mouse”, (14) number 3 cards with “Practical Pig, Fiddler Pig and Fifer Pig”, and (17) number 4 of the “Big Bad Wolf and His Three Sons.” There are a few cards with bent edges and one bend in the middle.

Pinocchio (Volume 2) has 48 cards with instructions.This deck is complete with varying amounts so I will list them separately. Number 1 which is “Monsto” has (7) cards, 1 with a bend in the center; #2 “Lampwick” has (6) cards; #3 “the Coachman” has (6) cards; #5 “Stromboli” has (5) cards, one with a bend in the center; # 5 “Fox-Cat” has (5) cards and one has a bend in the center; #6 “Figaro” has (4) cards; # 7 “Cleo” has (4) cards, one with bent corner and blue mark; #8 “Jiminy Cricket” has (4) cards one with bend on lower corner; #9 “Geppetto” has (4) cards one with a bend on the corner; #10 “the Blue Fairy” has (2) cards one with bend on the corner edge and #11 “Pinocchio” has (1) card.

Mickey Mouse (Volume 3) has 48 cards with instructions. The following is a list of the deck. 1/1 “Mickey and Minnie” has (6) cards; 1/2 “Mickey and Pluto” (2) cards; 1/3 “Minnie and Donald Duck” (2) cards; 1/4 “Minnie and Ferdinand the Bull” (2) cards; 1/5 “Minnie and the Tree Little Pigs” (2) cards; 1/6 Minnie and the Big Bad Wolf” (2) cards, 1 bent corner; 1/7 “Minnie and Clara Cluck” (2) cards; 2/3 “Pluto and Donald Duck” (2) cards; 2/4 “Pluto and Ferdinand the Bull” (2) cards, one bent across the upper edge; 2/5 “Pluto and the Tree Little Pigs” (2) cards; 2/6 “Pluto and the Big Bad Wolf” (2) cards, 2/7 “Pluto and Clara Cluck” (2) cards; 3/4 “Donald Duck” (2) cards; 3/4 “Donald Duck and the Tree Little Pigs” (2) cards; 3/6 “Donald Duck Big Bad Wolf” (2) cards both with bends in center and 1 on corner; 3/7 “Donald Duck and Clara Cluck” (2) cards 1 with bend; 4/5 “Ferdinand the Bull and the Three Little Pigs” (2) cards; 4/6 “Ferdinand the Bull and the Big Bad Wolf” (2) cards; 4/7 “ Ferdinand the Bull and Clara Cluck” (2) cards; 5/6 “ the Tree Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf” (2) cards; 5/7 “ the Three Little Pigs and Clara Cluck” (2) cards; and 6/7 “ the Big Bad Wolf and Clara Cluck” (2) cards.

Bambi (Volume 4) has (47) cards in total with instruction. (1) card is missing the letter “I”. There are 4 each with the letters B, A, M, B, and 3 of I. There are four each 1-7. There is some darker foxing on the images of this deck. A few cards with bent edges.

The Three Little Pigs (Volume 5) has 48 cards with instructions. Four each 1 - 12 Depicting images from the “Three Little Pigs” story. A few of the cards have bent edges.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Vol. 6) has 48 cards with instructions. A few cards with bent edges and 1 with bend in center (Happy).
