This is a vintage, mid-century glass decanter/carafe manufactured by Pyrex. Reminiscent of Chemex, this decanter has a straightforward, timeless design.

Made for cold (or room temp) liquids only, the large cork ball acts as a stopper, and there is a large, wooden bead to adjust the tension of the leather thong.

Measuring 9" in height w/o stopper and 10" with the stopper, 3-1/8" across the opening, and 3" across the flat base, this decanter is stamped on the lower edge, in white, " 8010 1 QT 1 L Pyrex Corning NY USA Caution--For Cold Liquids Only". To the left of all this appears the number "9" with three tiny squares beneath, one on top of the other.

There are no chips, cracks, nicks, etc., and the cork ball & wooden bead are in perfect shape. This piece is in excellent condition.

What a wonderful way to serve your iced tea or wine outdoors on a summer's evening!
