Did you know that a group of butterflies, like other insects, can be called a swarm, but a more poetic name is a "kaleidoscope" of butterflies. Truly! They can also be called a rabble, but I'm going with kaleidoscope.

So here's a kaleidoscope of butterflies in yellow, orange, and magenta. I painted this watercolor quite a few years ago, and I think I was just going with colors I liked, rather than attempting to portray any particular species. The butterflies are set off against the background, with the spattering suggesting a large swarm and the blue tones the sky.

The size is 26" x 17.5" and comes to you ready to mat and frame to your liking. I'll package it flat with plenty of support and ship promptly to your destination. Thanks for looking!
