I made these post earrings from a tiny wooden tree branch found in my yard. A recent storm caused many branches to be blown to the ground, so I went out to collect some wood. I'm not sure of the type of wood, but the color and markings were beautiful. It's probably oak.

Both earrings came from the same branch and sanded silky smooth. A few coats of lacquer give them a shiny luster.

The diameter of each earring is approx. 3/8 inch (.95cm) . A small indentation was drilled into the back where the surgical stainless steel post was securely glued.

I included a picture with my hand to give an idea of the size of these cute earrings.

Natural jewelry!
