This white cotton Edwardian dress is from the early 1900's. At that time these lightweight, sheer dresses were called "lawn dresses" but were basically summer day dresses. These dresses were worn with a variety of slips underneath. This one is shown with a a nude slip but any color could be added to change the look of the dress.

Just look at the detail on this dress! As you can see, this dress is very intricate with lace and tiny buttons and more layers of lace. It has snaps and hooks for enclosures in the front of the bodice and at the waist and hips. It is hard for me to imagine someone hand making this dress with all of the exquisite details.

When I found it, it was dirty and stained but I gave it a very delicate wash and used some of my special stain removing techinques and got most of the stains out ( I bet you want to know my special technique. Convo me and I will share my secret). There are a few very light stains toward the bottom of the dress but they are barely noticeable. Of course this is a delicate dress because it has been around for many, many years but it is in very good shape.

This is a collectors item but is still in good enough shape to be worn.

It is a size small but check measurements.
