I started collecting vintage children's books when my dd was just a baby so that I could decorate her room with them.
Some of my very favorites are the Tell-a-Tale books.

This pair includes "Wiggletail" about a puppy, and "Smoky" the baby goat.
Adorable endpapers as seen in the 2nd photo and the illustrations are so whimsical.

Both books are published by the Whitman Publishing Co. in 1947 and 1944. "Smoky" was written by Mary Elting and illustrated by Veronica Reed, "Wiggletail" was written and illustrated by Charlie.

Both books measure 5 3/4x6 1/2" and are in very good vintage condition with no rips or writing inside with the exception of 15 cents written in pencil inside the front cover of "Smoky".

This listing is for the pair and these would make a wonderful baby shower gift for that vintage shower!
Or add them to your own collection.....:).
