Beautiful, ethnic ring, stamped simply, "Mexico", on the back, circa 1930/40. It has a curving, graceful and baroque Spanish-influenced style. Now on sale, was 135.

The stone is a pale, opaque green gray, almost olive. It seems to be a natural stone, inclusions are visible, perhaps green onyx, agate or soap stone.

The ring is between a 9.5 and 9.75. The length of the ring is 1 1/4 by 3/4 of an inch at the widest point. Weight is 6.2 grams.

This ring was made with a flat piece of silver, shaped with a hand saw, then all of the hollow-formed and wire design elements were soldered to the top. The band has a split shank.

Tested for sterling silver content. Fine vintage condition with minor surface wear to the metal along with a rich patina. The stone shows only a little wear to its surface.

The stone is set in a pinched bezel. There is a wee gap in the bezel on one side. This was part of the construction process and is not damage.

An elegant ring for all seasons!
