These are three fossils of Aporrhais uttingerianus, an ancient variety of Pelican's Foot Snail, named for the unique shaping of their shell. Personally, I think they look more like starfish, but no matter how you view them they are a very cool shell. This group of snails dates back to the Cretaceous, but are also still alive today. The shells come in a glass-topped riker mount on red cloth. It makes for a great display piece. The entire case measures 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) in length.
The item will be mailed in a priority mail flat-rate box to buyers in the US. Canadian shipping is through US first class international mail. All other shipping is through first-class registered mail.
